It’s not a movement of activists, it’s a movement of people; a community of civil resistance creating the change we need.
We’re conditioned from birth for compliance, and the system has always tried to control people. This is the system we need to dismantle, in order to survive.
It’s an attrition thing. Keeping the message there means people are starting to come to terms with what’s happening. I feel a tipping point may come quite soon, where people feel the courage and community to come together and change our course. And governments around the world will have to do the right thing. The only thing to do is keep putting one foot in front of another and make the very best choice for the next step. And BELIEVE!
We’re united in our passion to save the planet, and we’re all equal. Whatever each of us can do is enough. And it will be different for everyone. And what each of us can do will change as months go by. People apologise: “I can only do this…”. Be proud of what you’re doing! Some people can’t do more but they are as valuable to the community as people who risk prison for years, people who go against their friends and families — massive courage — people who squeeze in a few hours around caring for their children. I feel at peace with myself for what I’m doing, and for being able to do it. But I don’t know where it will leave me in a few years.
Just because you can’t see what is round the bend doesn’t mean its not going to be wonderful.
Lou
