There’s an energy, a flow, a sense of correction that completely transcends the individual contribution, that I’ve only felt in this community. That’s been very heartening abut the last four years, or so: that sense of what connects us.
We’re always learning how diverse and varied our community is, and needs to be. How we frame the Climate and Ecological Emergency is our own, But there are as many different lived experiences of it as there are people on the planet. When your lake dries up, the food your community lives on cannot be grown! We’ve no narrative for that
It think its crucial that we continually seek to get the most broad and wide community engagement. Open doors are one thing, but if what lies beyond is daunting, the door might as well be shut. A sense of empowerment and privilege might allow you ro enter that door. But we also want to include people who might need an arm around them, or even a different door. It’s a real strength that there’s no barriers to that.Nick
